Summer Bucket List: Social Distancing Edition

Summer 2020 is going to be a time like no other. Although there are important guidelines that are strongly encouraged to be following during this time that may prohibit normal summer activities, you can still make an effort to enjoy the warmer months. Here are a few ideas for your social distancing summer bucket list.

1. Golfing

Competing in golf competitions or enjoying the range with close friends is a great way to be health-conscious and stay active. Plus, winning golf tournament prizes would be the cherry on top of the cake. If you are struggling to keep fit with the gyms being closed, walking the course is a fabulous alternative to burn some calories and get in your steps.

2. Road Tripping

While there is nothing better than to be able to hop on a plane and be at your destination in no time, desperate times call for desperate measures. Use these extenuating circumstances to appreciate Mother Nature and take the scenic route. There are tons of houses available to rent on sites like VRBO and Airbnb to enjoy a vacation six feet away from reality. You should avoid the busy beaches this summer, but you may be surprised to find how much you enjoy the quieter ones.

There is no shame in taking extra precautions while the world tries to recover from the coronavirus. Instead of planning a trip away from your home, it is a great idea to take some time off work and indulge in gardening or getting a few things done around the house. Sometimes, doing nothing at home is a much better alternative than risking illness. However you choose to wind down post-COVID-19, be sure you give yourself ample time to destress and regather your thoughts. It is never more critical to have a normal-feeling summer than after so many months of hardships. The tips above are a great way to start.… Read More..
